A Little Blessing

I caught Phillip’s kind helpfulness (without being asked) on camera. He is helping his younger sister put her shoes on. What a little blessing!

My husband is the winner of my group writing project. Wanna know why? Because he was the only one who participated! Wanna know what his prize was? A great big kiss. Oh, don’t worry, if you had entered and won, it would have been a different prize. I like to custom make my prizes for [...]

Van Pictures 2009-06-25

On the way home from the park last week, we allowed the kids to do something that normally is not allowed. Since their Granddaddy was back there with them supervising the chaos, we allowed them to play with a ball in the van! Here are half the resulting pictures.

My husband thinks I’m hard of hearing. Wonder where he got that idea from? Huh? What’d you say? # Humility sure is a horse pill! # Oh my!!! Now I’ve heard it all!! I just heard 2 car horns suspended in harmony!! # Powered by Twitter Tools.

Around and Around We Go

Image by Christopher Chan via Flickr Here is Anna’s description of her made up holiday, “Opposites Day.” It’s “Opposites Day.” Since it is “Opposites Day,” that means we have to say the opposite, so it really isn’t “Opposites Day.” But if it isn’t really “Opposites Day” and someone says it is “Opposites Day,” it is [...]

Park Pictures 2009-06-19

Because I know you love my kids so much, I decided to share their fun at the park with you. Seriously, this is the best place to keep track of pictures. I hope you can enjoy them with me.

Park Pictures 2009-06-18

While at the park on Monday, I got an opportunity to take a few nature shots. These scenes are fun to take pictures of and demand the acknowledgment of God’s presence! Here are my favorites!

Cooking Out….Regardless!

We went to the park a few days ago with Granddaddy and Grandmommy. Since the weather was so nice we decided to go all out and cook burgers on the grill. About the time we put the second batch on, it started raining. But that didn’t stop us! Take a look at this!!

Laminin

If you have never heard of laminin, watch this video. If you are one of those fortunate few who have not heard of laminin, watch this video. Don’t turn it off half way through. If you do, you’ll miss the best part! Enjoy!

A Few of my Favorite

Today I got an opportunity to take pictures of my favorite husband! I got carried away and took a lot. Here are just a few of them.

@stretchmarkmama I thought that was 5:00! I think 3 likes me! in reply to stretchmarkmama # It's time to try something similar. Sing the pink panther song but say "spot mop" over and over instead of the words! Tongue Twister!! # Oh my, where did "similar" come from? I meant "silly" in that last tweet! [...]

I Just Updated

I just updated to WordPress 2.8!! I am current with WordPress now! Yes, me, Tabetha! The one who is always a year behind everyone else! Not this time! And the best part? I did it all by myself with no help from my guru husband!! Oh wait! WordPress 2.9 is already out? You’re kidding, right?

Time to be Serious

Peter had to go to the eye doctor on Wednesday. Because he loves entertaining people so much and just plain being silly, I thought it would be wise to have a talk with him before hand to help him understand that this is a time to be serious. After our talk, I was fairly certain [...]

Licking the Bowl

Candice has learned to lick the bowl…among other things! Isn’t she a charmer?

Phillip is 6!!

Happy Birthday, Phillip!!

An Attitude of Service

Today is the day that will always be remembered as the day that I didn’t install Mama’s air conditioner. Here’s the story. Mama and I went to her apartment with three goals: to be there when the gas to her stove was turned on, to install her air conditioner, and to get her locks changed [...]

Tabetha's Tweets 2009-06-07

Watching possible spider bite on 3YO’s hand. It is red & swollen & has one blister in the middle with lumps around it. Suggestions? # @stretchmarkmama Funny. My kids are 1,3,5,7,9 until my 5YO ruins ruins it all by turning 6! Can you believe he’d do that?! in reply to stretchmarkmama # My “Mama” is [...]

Are You Looking Up or Down?

It’s time for a personal confession. I have been unsatisfied with myself now for about five years. Normally one would think that as time goes by, those feelings of dissatisfaction would go away or at least slacken, but no. They have been getting stronger and stronger over that time period. You see, the more I [...]

Fireproof

Luke and I watched Fireproof tonight, and I absolutely loved it! I both laughed and cried and sat on the edge of my seat for a good part of the movie. If you have not seen it, do yourself  a favor and watch it! Here’s a little preview.

Tabetha's Tidbit 2008-06-04

Ever scrape your fingernails on the metal dryer filter while getting the lint off? Tonight I discovered a way to prevent that from happening (at least most of the time). I took the dryer sheet that had come out of the previous load and used it to wipe the lint away. It worked like a [...]

Unusual Find

As I mentioned before, Rhode Islanders like to have their unwanted items taken and nurtured by someone else; they don’t care who that someone else is. So they put it out on the curb for any passerby to claim. Last week, I came across something that was a bit out of the ordinary! Some one [...]

The Risk in Helping Others

Have you ever considered the fact that there is risk involved when you help someone? Today at the pharmacy, I noticed a mom with her newborn. The straps of the baby’s infant carseat were loose enough that he could have come out of the seat in an auto accident. I had a strong urge to [...]

Naturally Sweetened Tea

After dropping sugar from my diet recently, I had a hard time finding a hot tea that I liked. I tried tea after tea and couldn’t help but wonder how anybody ever could handle it unsweetened. Then I finally found one that was good and that actually had a semi-sweet taste to it. The name [...]
